What brands of makeup do you use?

At bellus I believe in only using the best! I have tried and tested many brands of makup and for this reason I use many ranges including Napoleon, Inuovi, Karajo, Paris berlin, Mac, Inglot and Temptu. Depending on your skin type and desired result will depend on which range (or a mixture of a few) I will use to complete your look.

 

When should I book my pre-wedding trial?

As soon as possible and we will schedule it for 2 - 3 weeks prior to your wedding day.

What preparation should I do to my skin prior to my wedding day?

The smoother your skin, the better result on your wedding day. So a gentle skin exfoliate should be used to remove any old skin cells and smooth out imperfections. Exfoliates can be used up to 2 times per week, be careful not to over exfoliate as this can dry out your skin and leave skin tender and red. I can recommend skin treatments available for you @ salons.

 

Waxing, when do I get facial waxing done?

Waxing of the face is best done 2 - 3 days prior to your wedding day because it can be difficult for makeup to adhere to skin which has been freshly waxed. After 2 - 3 days your makeup will stay in place easily.

Why should I choose Airbrushing over traditional makeup?

Unlike traditional makeup, Airbrushing feels completely weightless on your skin. Airbrushing gives a complete flawless coverage and lasts for up to 16 hours.

Why should I choose Traditional makeup over Airbrushing?

If you like a heavy coverage and have large or deep pores, then traditional makeup is for you.

Can I mix the two types of applications?

Absolutely, on some skin types a mixture of both gives a much better result. I will recommend which will be the best for your skin type.

I never wear makeup, What do you suggest for my wedding day?

I will recommend airbrushing for its natural feel and look. You don't have to be made up like a doll, just enough to even out skin tone and pigmentation. Airbrushing will also cut out reflections in your photographs.

How do lash extensions work?

Lash extensions come permanent or semi-permanent. Depending on the look you are after will depend on the length and the amount that will be applied. Some brides choose just a slight enhancement simply to thicken their natural lashes. Others choose a very dramatic look. I can recommend which will suit.
